During their 6-month stay in the United States, Oscar and Georgina will be traveling from coast to coast performing, teaching workshops, and teaching private lessons. Since Sacramento has become their home away from home, they will return once a month for a total of six weekends of workshops. This means they will spend more time with us than anywhere else! This also means that you have an incredible opportunity to develop your tango with them. Take a weekend of workshops, practice the material, let it sink in and start building in your muscle memory, and then 4 weeks later, study with them again. This is an excellent opportunity to refine what you’ve learned.
Listen to what one attendee wrote about their May workshops: “By minimizing the steps in a training sequence, Oscar & Georgina allow us to focus on the more challenging elements of technique — technique that helps us be smoother and more elegant in our dance. They teach a beautiful, connected, sensual tango, and they do it with fun and energy and excellent information. Truly they are masters of their craft — they have mastered not only dancing tango, but teaching it too.”
Oscar and Georgina are recognized as one of the foremost dance couples in Buenos Aires today. For the past two years they have been featured as a solo dance couple at the Esquina Carlos Gardel, the largest and most famous tango theater in Buenos Aires. Oscar and Georgina’s style personifies all of the elegance, grace and romance we associate with the tango. Studying with them is a unique opportunity for every tango dancer.
Here is the program for their upcoming workshops (they are also available for private lessons -- contact Ed Loomis at 916 (916) 368-9451 or via e-mail at TangoBear@pobox.com to schedule.
