THREE TO TANGO! Workshops with Jorge Nel & Sandra Milena Buitrago & Andres Bravo, August 13-14, 2011!
JORGE NEL has been teaching and dancing for over 30 years; indeed, the city of Miami named the 15th of May as the day of Jorge Nel for being the pioneer of tango in Florida. Jorge Nel has also been featured dancing tango in films, including Random Hearts with Harrison Ford, and another film with Celia Cruz and Al Pacino. Jorge directed his own dance company, Tango Fever, for over 10 years. At present he is considered one of the best salon tango dancers in his country and is currently well recognized in the United States for his Milonga interpretation.
SANDRA MILENA BUITRAGO was national runner-up three times in the Tango Salon division in prestigious championships in Colombia in 2008-2009; in Manizales her town she was national champion in Tango Salon in 2010 and in turn was National Runner-up in Stage Tango at the same event. She represented Colombian in the World Tango Championship in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 2010.
ANDRES BRAVO represented Colombia at the eighth World Tango Summit held in San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina with the Colombia Tango Company. He was the National Tango Champion 2006 and 2009 and National runner-up in the stage tango Festival 2007 and 2010. National champion in stage tango Tango Festival 2008 and 2009.
Jorge, Sandra and Andres (Three to Tango!) will be teaching workshops this weekend (and dancing a tango demonstration at our milonga on the night of August 13). Here is the schedule for their workshops:
